2023 CanSat Competition

Planetary Probe Lander Mission

MinneSat competed in the 2023 AAS international CanSat competition, placing 24th overall. Despite encountering software and avionics challenges that prevented full mission execution, the team successfully completed launch and recovery while gaining critical experience across the full mission lifecycle—from mechanical integration to real-time flight operations. The project emphasized hands-on aerospace engineering and offered valuable lessons that will strengthen future competition efforts.
